Fintech Innovators as Drivers of Inclusive Economies - 16 October 2019

This session - part of the World Bank Group's annual meetings - will host a panel of industry leaders and international regulators to discuss how the industry is addressing the financial inclusion challenge, the opportunities and the risks that are emerging as the financial sector is reshaped, and how regulatory strategies can be adopted to foster sound, inclusive financial innovation and expand the reach of financial services. Keep an ear out for mention of Inclusive Fintech 50! 


Fintech in Asia: Advancing Inclusion, Innovation and Financial Health - 21 October 2019

MetLife Foundation, LumenLab (MetLife Asia's Innovation Center) and MIX are hosting this invite-only event to share initial insights about the state of inclusive fintech in Asia; facilitate new relationships between key players including select Inclusive Fintech 50 winners, investors, and ecosystem actors; and generate learnings to help guide the sector toward delivering on the promise of improving financial health in Asia. Semaine Africaine Microfinance 2019 - 23 October 2019

Blaine Stephens, MIX COO, will be in Ouagadougou to share MIX's perspective on inclusive fintech and during the panel, "Un monde de Fintech: quel investissement pour quel impact?". Additionally, Howard Miller will participate on a panel covering technology and innovative finance in agriculture. We are also glad to see a few familiar faces from our fintech and agricultural finance working groups participating. Machal Karim of CDC Group (of our Fintech Working Group), and Emilio Hernandez of CGAP and Hedwig Siewertsen of AGRA (of our Ag Advisory Council) are participating in panels during the week.


Conscious coupling: ensuring tech does not undermine inclusion (SOCAP) - 24 October 2019

Camilla Nestor, MIX CEO, will participate on a panel on inclusive fintech at this year's SOCAP event in San Francisco. Led by Maelis Carraro, Director of Catalyst Fund, Camilla will be joined by representatives from Cathay Innovation, Chipper Cash, and diin to discuss the intersection of technology, financial services, and inclusion.
