Borrower Levels Grew by 2.4% in Peru

Peruvian financial service providers (FSP) reported a growth of 2.4% in their borrowers’ base at the end of June 2017 quarter, however, variation rates by peer group had higher variance. Risk levels increased during the quarter led by Banks in the sector. Due to the impact of floods in the country in the beginning of the quarter national regulatory body (SBS) has issued a temporary regulation to help on recovery created flexibility for borrowers to repay.
