Micol Pistelli is the Manager of the Social Performance Standards Program at MIX. Micol started working in international development in 2003 for the Department of Development Cooperation at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has since worked as a microfinance consultant at the Italian Embassy in Egypt, Fundación Paraguaya in Paraguay, and the Microfinance Management Institute in Washington, DC. At MIX, Micol collects and analyzes data on social performance from MFIs and trains stakeholders on social performance data reporting. She also manages the blog on Social Performance Indicators and is a member of the Social Performance Task Force Steering Committee.

Micol earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Bologna in Italy and her M.A. in International Economics and International Development from SAIS-Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC. Micol speaks Italian, Spanish, French, and some Arabic.
