Arturo Valencia
Arturo joined MIX in the autumn of 2008, with extensive experience in the microfinance sector. Previously, he was with Mibanco as a loan officer working directly with clients. He also has experience as a Risk Analyst for Banco del Trabajo (recently renamed CrediScotia Financiera) where he was responsible for training loan officers in credit methodology and supporting credit policies through financial reports and economic research. He also has held positions working in the back office as an analyst for Organizational Development (Banco de la Nación) and Credit Card Operations (Interbank). At MIX he is responsible for collecting and analyzing financial and non-financial data on regional MFIs and managing relationships with MFIs and other service providers throughout the region.
Arturo has a B.B.A. from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Lima, Perú), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance from Centrum Católica - Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Lima, Perú).
He speaks Spanish and English.
