Agharazi Babayev
Aga joined the MIX as an Analyst for Eastern Europe and Central Asia based in our Azerbaijan office. He is responsible for collecting and analyzing financial and non-financial data on regional MFIs and managing relationships with MFIs and other service providers throughout the region.
Before joining the MIX, Aga worked as a microfinance practitioner holding the position of Marketing & Product Development Manager at one of the biggest MFIs in Azerbaijan. Throughout his microfinance career he has done number of consulting assignments for Vision Fund International, EBRD and IAD. He also has provided trainings on behalf of Microfinance Center for CEE & NIS. Aga has specific interests in Social Performance Management. At the time of his employment with an MFI he played a major role in development of a unique for the region Poverty Measurement Tool.
Aga holds bachelor degree in International Economic Relations and Management from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. He has also completed one year exchange program at the University of Houston majoring in Business Administration and Economics.
He speaks Azerbaijani, English, Russian and Turkish.
