Our data represent the majority of the microcredit marketplace, spanning the breadth of institutions in terms of business models, market, product mix and age.

MIX Services

MIX collects, analyzes and publishes financial data from nearly 1,500 microfinance institutions (MFIs) throughout the developing world. MIX presents these data on our online platform MIX Market (www.mixmarket.org) and in benchmarks, trend lines, and regional and country level reports.

The analysis and research we provide is based on our data collection efforts - our database is the deepest in the microfinance sector and provides the public with a general overview and in-depth look at microfinance markets and individual MFIs.

Microfinance is a diverse and fragmented global industry. Due to its very nature, operating in different regions and countries under a variety of regulations and laws, no standardization body exists for it.

With expertise in financial analysis and benchmarking for microfinance institutions, MIX is a leader in creating and tracking standards for the microfinance industry.

MIX is a frequent advisor to and participant in industry best practice and standard-setting working groups, and is actively helping to define financial and social performance reporting standards.
