MIX and the Multilateral Investment Fund are pleased to present the 2011 edition of “Microfinance Americas: The Top 100,” our annual snapshot of 100 leading microfinance institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. As in the last two years, the rankings have been determined on the basis of the institutions’ performance in three key areas: outreach, efficiency and transparency. The overall picture is positive; microfinance activity continues to grow in the region. When one takes a closer look at the numbers, a more complex portrait is revealed.
