Microfinance Americas: The Top 100

The Multilateral Investment Fund and the MIX are pleased to present the 2009 Microfinance Americas 100 (previously The Championship League), this year’s ranking of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This year, Microfinance Americas 100 launched a new ranking based on the methodology established by the MIX Global 100 Composite—which ranks the top-performing MFIs in the region. The measure of performance used in the ranking is made up of three “pillars”: outreach, efficiency, and transparency. Each MFI obtains a certain score by combining the indicators that comprise each pillar.
