The 2007 MIX Asia 100 is a report on microfinance in Asia, produced by MIX and ADB - the Asian Development Bank. The report includes rankings of microfinance institutions in the region in nine categories.
Asian microfinance has long been touted for its extensive outreach to the poor, but many questions remain in regard to the performance of the MFIs in the region. This report and the rankings are not intended to be the last word on microfinance in Asia; the hope is that they will help spur the conversation about what makes a successful microfinance institution.
