This report draws on outreach data from 18 microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Nepal and financial performance information from a subset consisting of 9 retail microfinance banks. The sector’s performance is contextualized against results from a set of 86 MFIs across South Asia.
This report on Nepal’s microfinance market shows that the outreach remains limited, but the sector has made tremendous strides despite political unrest.
