The MIX Benchmarks published in the MicroBanking Bulletin use a peer group framework that draws on the full data set of contributing microfinance institutions (MFIs).
This spreadsheet contains benchmark data on the performance of microfinance institutions around the globe. These benchmarks are the result for groups of institutions — peer groups — sharing common characteristics, such as region of operation or size. Click on any of the links to explore the performance results of these peer groups in a given area: outreach, financial structure, profitability, productivity or risk. In this 2005 issue, 446 MFIs participated in the benchmarks.
