The MIX Trend Lines use a peer group framework that draws only on microfinance institutions that have reported for at least four consecutive years to MIX and detail developments in retail microfinance performance.

This spreadsheet contains benchmark data on the performance of microfinance institutions around the globe. These benchmarks are the results for groups of institutions — peer groups — sharing common characteristics, such as region of operation or size. Click on any of the links to explore the performance results of these peer groups in a given area: outreach, financial structure, profitability, productivity or risk. In this trendline issue with a period ending in 2004, 91 MFIs participated.
