El Salvador Performance Trend Report 2004-2006

This trend report presents three year market trend data comparing the performance of El Salvador’s microfinance institutions against those of Central America. Eight El Salvador microfinance institutions are used for the sample. The report is currently available only in Spanish.
The report, produced by MIX in association with our Central American partner REDCAMIF, finds that El Salvadorian microfinance institutions continued to grow quickly in 2006, gaining better access to commercial funding sources and increasing profitability, while reducing delinquency in loan portfolios.
