2009 Report on Microfinance in Brazil now available in Portuguese

The Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX) has just released the Portuguese version of its latest report on the microfinance sector in Brazil.

The 2009 Brazil Microfinance Analysis & Benchmarking Report examines outreach and scale, funding structure, financial performance, efficiency and productivity, and portfolio quality of the microfinance market in Brazil.

MIX Releases French Translation of its 2009 Arab Microfinance Report

Microfinance Information Exchange has just published the French version of its 2009 Arab Microfinance Analysis and Benchmarking Report.

The report includes benchmarks based on data from 54 microfinance institutions (MFIs) in 10 Arab countries and trend data from 35 MFIs covering the period from 2006 to 2008.

The Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX) has been awarded a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation to work with the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) to develop a structured data feed that will enable the GIIN Impact Reporting and Investment Standards (IRIS) initiative to access financial and social performance data from more than 1,800 microfinance institutions (MFIs) currently reporting to MIX.

Starting in July, Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX) will launch services that offer new or significant upgrades to products we have offered in the past.

Examples of these services include interim data (primarily on a quarterly basis) for a subset of MFIs and up-to-date country briefings on MIX Market. These services require a lot of investment to develop and maintain, so they may become premium offerings in the future, available to paying subscribers.
