Report on Microfinance Industry in Russia Released by MIX and RMC

MIX announced the release of the 2008 Russia Microfinance Analysis and Benchmarking Trends Report. The report, jointly produced by MIX and RMC (Russia Microfinance Center), uses 2007 financial data - the most recent available - from 40 MFIs. It also includes three-year trend data on a subset of 11 MFIs.

Microfinance in Azerbaijan 2008 - Analysis and Benchmarking Report

MIX announced the release today of its latest microfinance report, “Azerbaijan Microfinance Analysis and Benchmarking Trends Report, 2008.” The report, published by MIX and AMFA, uses 2007 financial data – the most recent available – on 12 MFIs, and three year trend data covering 2004 to 2007 on a subset of 9 MFIs, to analyze the market in Azerbaijan and benchmark the performance of microfinance institutions (MFIs).

MIX to Lead Panel at Microfinance India Conference, 2008

MIX is scheduled to lead a panel at the Microfinance India Conference in Delhi, titled “Diamonds in the Rough – Financing Second Tier MFIs.” The goal of the presentation is to address the needs of the lesser known Tier 2 and Tier 3 MFIs that are having major impacts in their respective markets, yet are experiencing difficulty accessing financing for growth.

MIX Releases Latest Report on Microfinance in Peru

The Microfinance Information Exchange, Inc. (MIX) released the Peru Microfinance Analysis and Benchmarking Report, 2008. This report, only available in Spanish, gives an overview of the microfinance market in Peru, a country whose microfinance industry has deep roots.

The benchmark data, medians compiled from 49 MFIs throughout Peru, represents a total loan portfolio of USD 2.6 billion, and more than 2 million borrowers. This represents a growth of 32.4 percent in the number of borrowers and a 52% growth in loan portfolio.
