Dear Colleagues,

My fellow board members join me in offering our deep thanks to Peter Wall for his four years of service to MIX. As most of you know, Peter resigned as Executive Director effective June 30, 2009. Peter accomplished a great deal during his time with us. He oversaw MIX’s financial and program turnaround, assembled a strong staff, built a cutting edge IT platform and extended MIX’s reach and reputation. Thanks to Peter, we are an industry leader and a strong, stable institution.

The Board has engaged Smith Bryan Associates to help us find the best candidate for the Executive Director position. We have been working closely with their team, identifying and interviewing strong candidates. It is our hope to have our next Executive Director in place as soon as possible.

During this transition time between Executive Directors, Blaine Stephens, MIX’s COO, has agreed to fill in as Interim Executive Director. He, along with the rest of our talented and capable MIX team and committed Board, will ensure that the MIX business continues uninterrupted.

On behalf of all of MIX’s Board members, I also thank each MIX staff member for their great work during this intense time as we launch MIX Market 2.0 and prepare for the executive transition. We appreciate their commitment to MIX’s continued success.

The other Board members and I are excited about MIX’s future as we build upon the solid foundation laid by Peter and the rest of the MIX staff over the past four years.
