A guide for assessing the capacity of financial service providers to report financial and operational results to management, boards, investors and other stakeholders.
The resources in this package may be used by FSP staff performing a self-assessment or by an external consultant engaged for that purpose. Detailed technical knowledge of computer technology is not required, but those conducting an assessment should have a basic understanding of information systems and how information is transmitted between different systems. In addition, some knowledge of financial reporting and a basic understanding of financial transactions will be helpful. Where there is no single individual with all these competencies, a team approach to the assessment is strongly recommended.
